College Applications
It is now October, and that means applications for colleges have opened up.
On October 1st, the applications for California State Universities (CSU) opened to students. These applications will be available until November 30th, which is the deadline. This gives students two months to fill out and turn in the applications.There are 23 California State Universities;

- California State University Dominguez Hills
- California State University East Bay
- California State University Fresno
- California State University Fullerton
- Humboldt State University
- California State University Long Beach
- California State University Los Angeles
- California Maritime Academy
- California State University Monterey Bay
- California State University Northridge
- California State Polytechnic University, Pomona
- California State University Sacramento
- California State University San Bernardino
- San Diego State University
- San Francisco State University
- San Jose State University
- California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo
- California State University San Marcos
- Sonoma State University
- California State University Stanislaus
All of these institutions are now accepting applications and will do so until the end of November. It is much better to get applications in early, as most of these universities are impacted, meaning that they have many more applicants than they accept.
As for Universities of California (UC), the applications are now available as of October 1st. However, these applications will not be accepted until the month of November. This gives students two months to fill out the applications, however they can not turn them in until November. Students should prepare their applications during the month of October, so that they can turn them in early. Universities of California are infamously competitive, so it is highly recommended students get everything done early. As opposed to years past, UC’s no longer wait until they have collected all of the applications before making admissions decisions. Universities now admit students as they receive applications.
