Varsity Basketball Wins
The Dixon High Boy’s Basketball team played an exciting game against Vacaville Christian on November 29th. The final score was fifty-seven to fifty-one, and the score remained close throughout the entire game. The score went back and forth with Vacaville in the lead, and then Dixon, but the end resulted with Dixon’s victory. The boy’s gave it their all that night, and it definitely paid off. This win set Dixon on a good path in their pre-season games. Hopefully this trend will continue into league.
On a side note, the game was just as exciting in the stands as it was on the court. A player from the other team dove for a rebound, and managed to fly into the stands. He succeeded in knocking down myself, Ashley Bailey, and Hannah Smith. Dixon High students were also complimented by a referee, saying that we were very loud and spirited. It was great for the students’ support in the stands to be recognized, and the spirit never died down.
Please turn out for the upcoming home basketball game. We will be playing Golden Sierra High School on December 22nd, and this will not be a game to miss. The Boy’s of the DHS Basketball team hope to see you in the stands, cheering them to a win.
