Swervin’ For A Balance

There are times in life when we feel like we have lost complete control over our lives and even ourselves. We feel distant from who we are and who we love. We can’t control the self destruction in what’s causing the stress and problems in our lives. We go through life stumbling through everything we do like someone who has gone past their limits in drinking.

Many of us lose ourselves in the cool we reach for. We lose ourselves in our love for weed, and getting high everyday. Forgetting about homework, work, priorities. We get lost in our ambition for money; doing all we can for the love of it. It doesn’t matter who we hurt around us, and what we have to give up. Being in school, passions, and friends. Whatever it is we seek to ascend in, sometimes we forget that we cant just stumble to the top.

We all need balance in our lives to stand and walk right. We walk around like babies learning how to walk. Of course we weren’t born to know how to work our lives. But there comes a time when we have to grow up and learn how to walk in a straight line.

There will always be things in our way that we have to climb over to keep on our journey to whatever it is we want to do with our lives. Could be problems at home, getting fired from your job, arguments, ect. But like they say: “Stand right, fall gracefully.” Be careful with the way you decide to cope with things.

Do what you want, but weigh the odds. What do you need? What do you want? Is what you want to do the best thing to do at the moment? Balance your priorities. You don’t want to fall  into a pit you will probably dig yourself into deeper trying to get out of.  Everything is best if done in measured amounts. Anything you decide to do, think of it as a tight rope. You smoke everyday, you will tip over and lose what you had all along. You drink every weekend, get ready for the hangovers and loss of motivation for going to school or work.

Know whats best for you before you decide what to make the center of your life about. It sucks to look at your life after doing what you want as it comes. When you don’t take control of your life, your life takes control of you. Life isn’t a ride in the park unless you make it one. The more you let go, the more you fall and before you know it, your face hits the bottom of the abyss.

There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. Catch yourself before you lose the chance to keep holding what you have left. Don’t sit and wait for life to get the shattered pieces together in place again. You write the ending to your story. Sometimes we just need a little practice on how to get to a good ending in life. One necessary factor: balance.  Balance will lead you to the control you need to gain for yourself again. I know your tired of swerving, ’cause I know I was too…
