Without Incident

The junior prom for the class of 2012 was held on April 30th, thankfully, without incident.  Mr. Chaidez said that the prom was, “uneventful” and that the “kids were good”.  Nothing called attention to the teachers and supervisors there observing the prom.  Mr. Chaidez even said that “everyone seemed to have fun” and that he noticed “people were more red in the cheeks than usual” which he sarcastically added was because it was “hot”.

Limo drivers are usually the first to tell the staff if an incident occurs.  For example they are the first ones to tell Mr. Chaidez if some students on their bus were drinking or smoking.  They do not want to be accountable for anything that happens, so they are quick to report.  However, Mr. Chaidez says that he didn’t even hear anything from them.

Even after prom, no incidents were reported.  Mr. Chaidez said he heard of after parties and other such things happening after prom but nothing of special interest occurred this year.  Mr. Chaidez says that everyone knows that kids are going to do it after prom, including the kids’ parents.  However, this year, thankfully nothing out of the ordinary happened.
