Biggest trend in fashion today: hipster

Style: everybody has their own. We are all unique in the way we dress, speak, act, and overall present ourselves. There is the exception of trends and what’s “in” style, and sometimes we sort of follow the crowd with the styles that are common at the time. Recently, a lot of people have been getting into the “Urban” or “Hipster” scene.

The hipster scene is a way of putting a fresh twist on your wardrobe. For girls, their clothing consists of high waisted shorts and pants with tucked-in shirts, funky prints, Native American motifs, big sunglasses, off the shoulder shirts, flannel shirts, band tees, vintage prints and styles of clothing, belly shirts, tattoos, worn-out skinny jeans, tight hoodie sweatshirts, striped fitted sweaters, tote bags, or satchels, along with many styles of shoes. Hipster style is a mixture of styles from recent years to the present day. Such styles are very different so that is why the hipster style consists of contrasting attributes. It’s a way of achieving a chic, effortless fashion sense.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Emma is an example of how people have been wearing band tee’s of popular older day bands with a twist of present day style.

Men in the “hipster” scene generally wear plaid, flannels, band tee’s, tank tops, v-necks, cut offs, skinny pants, toms, worn out looking shoes, and sometimes have a longer piece of hair  that they braid. The men style is a little more general and are not as bold as the woman.

A lot of people ask where to buy these sorts of items or where they can find this style of clothing. Some popular places to go to find this style are Forever 21, H&M, Urban Outfitters, or any thrift store.
