Tattoos: trending style

This is an example of a "Sleeve." Typically, a sleeve takes up the entire arm. Here there is still a little bit of uncovered skin.
In today’s society, a trend toward tattooing has become even more accelerated amongst not only adults, but also a lot of teenagers who have been starting to engage in this fad. Nowadays, you often times see teenagers with at least one tattoo somewhere on his or her body. This trend is not only gender specified- both girls and boys have been involved in the tattoo trend.
In the past, tattoo designs and trends have been heavily influenced by fine art and the aesthetics of other cultures, but now so many people are getting tattoos just because they appear to be “cool,” and many tattoos are starting to lack personal significance or any meaning at all. You may wonder how it is possible for a teenager in high school to get a tattoo when you have to be 18 years of age to legally get a tattoo in any tattoo shop. Well, in most cases you can acquire parental permission and get a tattoo that way. In cases like these, most of the time parental permission is not to hard to obtain. The other way is by getting a tattoo outside of a tattoo shop, with or without parental permission. This is usually done by a friend or someone that you or your friends know. A lot of underage tattoos are obtained in this manner.

This is a tattoo of a Peace sign on Anthony Servera’s hand, a student here at DHS.
Also, there is a tattoo of a crown on my own foot in the image.
