The ringing in of the new year has always been a spectacular occasion, but when the ball drops, all the glitz is a memory. That’s when all the population who claim to be committed to their resolution start their short lived commitment. The most common being weight loss. Here are 3 simple ways to stick with a weight loss resolution.

1. Exercise: the top way to lose weight is to do something about it! Any physical exercise will definitely contribute to weight loss, but in order to follow through with it start off slow, many new year resolutioneers start off running and give up. Walk for a hour each day until your endurance builds up then you can begin jogging and doing sets and repetitions of ab and leg work. but exercise alone isn’t enough to get rid of your holiday muffin top.

2. Skip the muffin and eat healthier: Although we all love chocolate chip cookies and potato chips, all they do is sabotage your hopes of weight loss. Once again, start off slow. Each week take out one processed food, processed foods are full of chemicals and preservatives that have no nutritional value. Eliminate foods that you know deep down you don’t need. Fatty snacks can always be replaced by dry fruit and nut trail mix or fresh fruit. By doing this you knock out two resolutions, lose weight and eat healthy.

3. Quit smoking and drinking: This may seem unnecessary for weight loss but all the other factors that contribute to overall health also contribute to the effect result, a smoker or a drinker may not have the lung capacity or endurance a non soaker of drinker will have and will not live as long.
Follow one or more of these simple ways and results will come. Just be patient and stick with it!
