Valentine’s week approaches at Dixon High

Around this time of year, love is in the air. Valentine’s Day is around the corner and the sweetheart rally is coming up. This rally includes the sweetheart court. Many actual couples were voted in together. This year’s freshmen winners are Brandon Roscoe and Mallory Waldeck. The sophomore winning couple is Lem Osorio and Camarina Augusto. They have been dating for a year and nine months now and are really happy to have won. The junior winners are Jessica Jones and Franklin Quitugua. They have been dating since November 6th, 2011. They went to homecoming together before dating, which sparked the relationship. Franklin asked her out at his house while doing homework. Jessica was surprised, but said yes.

The senior winners have yet to be announced, but the nominees are Jonathan Chamblee, Aimee Carrazco, Anthony Salabar, Courtnee Briggs, Jeffrey Miner, Devin Brady, Jose Soto, and Mayra Mata. The winners will be announced next week!
