Rams swimmers to represent Dixon High at SacJoaquin Sections
The Dixon High School Rams/Lady Rams swim teams will make an appearance at the SacJoaquin Swimming/Diving Sections meet next Thursday and Friday. Prelims will be held for the girls on May 10th and for the boys May 11th. Finals will be held Saturday, May 12th for swimmers who prelim in the top 16 individual and relays. The following is a break down of those individuals who will be attending and which events they will race.
For the Lady Rams Junior Jaida Aikens will be competing in the Varsity 200 freestyle and the 100 freestyle races. Last year she was able to final top 8 Frosh/Soph in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
Sophomore Gina Garcia qualified for three events but will not be attending.
For the Rams there are several swimmers who will be racing individual events and relays.
Junior Bryan Poole will be competing in the Varsity 100 breaststroke. He will also be part of the boys Varsity 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Freshman Jacob Smith had a great season during leagues and will be racing Frosh/Soph in the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke. He will also be part of the Frosh/Soph 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Sophomore Nate Anderson will be racing in the Frosh/Soph 200 freestyle individual event as well as the 200 freestyle relay.
Sophomore Armando Moyyad will compete in the Frosh/Soph 200 freestyle and 100 fly events. He will join Smith in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Sophomore Zachary Schulman will race Frosh/Soph in the 50 freestyle event and be part of both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays as well.
Sophomore James Mayoral will swim the breaststroke leg of the 200 medley relay Frosh/Soph for the Rams.
The Rams team of Bryan Poole, Alex Gonzalez, Alex LaBass and Channing Madden will race in the Varsity 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Senior Austin Anderson qualified for an individual event for Sections but will not be attending.
